PSX Modular Walls Pack
A downloadable asset pack
A PS1/PSX-inspired modular wall and facade asset pack designed for retro horror games, walking sims, prototypes, dreamlike streets, abandoned buildings, and game jam projects.
The pack is built around simple 4 meter modular wall tiles designed for 2 metre characters. Most pieces are low-poly and lightweight, using flat quad-based geometry with PSX-style low-resolution textures.
The main focus of the pack is building retro style facades quickly. It includes modular wall pieces, windows, doors, shutters and related facade parts that can be combined to create streets, building fronts, alleys and unfinished buildings.
The Unity project includes prefabs with materials set up, including a custom unlit shader that uses a mask to let you adjust wall colour and frame colour separately. This makes it easier to create colour variation across a street while still using the same meshes and texture set.
This is not meant to be a perfect technical recreation of PS1 rendering. It is a practical retro art-direction pack for making low-resolution, atmospheric modular buildings quickly.
Texture Style / Texel Density
The pack is designed around a rough 64 pixels per metre texture density where practical, so the wall pieces, doors, windows, shutters, and facade elements feel visually consistent.
The textures are intentionally low-resolution and slightly rough. The goal is not clean modern realism, but a practical PSX-inspired look that works well for retro horror, liminal spaces, old-game-style streets, and strange abandoned environments.
The Unity shader allows extra colour control through variants. Wall colours and frame colours can be adjusted independently, which helps create more variety from the same base assets.
File Formats
- Master Blender file
- FBX exports
- GLB/GLTF exports
- Texture files
- Unity package with prefabs and materials set up
The GLB/GLTF files are included for use in engines such as Godot, but I mainly work in Blender and Unity. I do not personally use Godot, so the Godot workflow has not been fully tested.
Included Content
- 4 metre modular wall tiles
- Windows
- Doors
- Shutters
- Unity prefabs with materials set up
- Custom Unity unlit shader with separate wall/frame colour adjustment
- Blender source file for editing or exporting
- FBX and GLB exports
Development Note
This pack is intended as a practical modular facade kit rather than a fully finished city-building system. The pieces are designed to be simple, lightweight, and easy to combine.
The main idea is to let you build PSX-style streets and building fronts quickly, then use material colour variation, doors, windows, shutters, and layout changes to make repeated pieces feel less obvious.
Thanks for the support, and I really hope it ends up being useful in your projects.
