A downloadable asset pack

A PS1/PSX-inspired liminal environment asset pack designed for retro horror games, walking sims, prototypes, dreamlike spaces, and game jam projects.

The pack is built around concrete rooms, dark void spaces, strange corridors, empty interiors, and surreal modular environments. The mood is somewhere between an old PlayStation game, a half-remembered dream, and a place you feel like you got lost in once in 1995.

The pack includes a master Blender file, exported FBX files, exported GLB/GLTF files, textures, and a Unity package containing prefabs set up with the correct materials.

Many of the assets are ready to drop into a scene, including concrete walls, floors, ceilings, corridors, pillars, doorways, room pieces, beds, and other liminal environment objects.

The trailer shows also shows a monster bed creature but the main focus of the pack is still modular PSX-style liminal environment building.

This is not meant to be a perfect technical recreation of PS1 rendering. It is a practical retro art-direction pack for making strange, low-resolution, uncomfortable spaces quickly.

Texture Style / Texel Density

I tried to keep the environment assets close to a 64 pixels per metre texel density where practical, so the textures feel consistent across walls, floors, beds, and modular environment pieces.

Where possible, textures were also reduced to a limited colour range to help imitate the indexed-colour / CLUT palette feel used by original PlayStation-era games.

The look is intentionally rough, low-res, simple, and retro. The goal is not clean modern realism, but that slightly broken PSX feeling where the space feels flat, dark, and wrong.

File Formats

  • Master Blender file
  • FBX exports
  • GLB/GLTF exports
  • Texture files
  • Unity package with prefabs and materials set up

The GLB/GLTF files are included for use in engines such as Godot, but I mainly work in Blender and Unity. I do not personally use Godot, so the Godot workflow has not been fully tested.

Included Content

  • Concrete liminal walls, floors, and ceiling pieces
  • Bed props and odd bed variations
  • Monster bed creature shown in the trailer
  • Unity prefabs with materials set up
  • Blender source file for editing or exporting

Development Note

The Monster Bed is rigged and I included the blender file but its not great.
I like the idea of the Monster Bed though and I would like to make a version two.
I was going to not include it yet but I changed my mind as it still might be useful
It has animations for Idle, walking(crawling?), hiding and unhiding  as a bed, attacking left and right, getting hurt and collapsing. As mentioned they are kinda jank but I think serviceable. You can see the walk and idle used in the trailer toward the end and as a jump scare.

Thanks for the support and I really hope it ends up being useful in your projects.
